Angelina: Keep Nursing Objects of Cultural Decentralization
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Members of Parliament, Angelina Sondakh, sees the need of decentralization of technical maintenance of historical objects to maintain the authenticity, durability, and safety, particularly the looting and illegal trade.
"Very probably there are technical decentralization care and maintenance of cultural heritage objects," said Democratic Party faction member Parliament was told ANTARA here on Monday.
Therefore, Angelina back his proposals put forward relating to the revision of Law No. 5 Year 1992 on Objects of Cultural.
According to him, the existence of the Law No.5/1992 shall be able to answer the challenges of the future, especially in relation to rescue historical relics, whether for its history, tourism, as well as local and national interests.
"Objects of Cultural Revision Act needs to be done in line with the many archaeological sites found in various areas," he said.
Alluding again a matter of decentralization, Angelina Sondakh suggest regions should prepare human resources to master the technical maintenance of these ancient objects.
"It requires special expertise and technical needs," he asserted.
