Baja California Governor Jose Guadalupe Osuna said on Monday (5 / 4) local time that the government will evaluate the damage and declared a disaster zone in an emergency, in order to gain access to funding assistance provided by the federal government.
The earthquake, which killed two people and wounded more than 230 people were causing damage to building structures, roads, and highways, especially in the Mexicali Valley. Osuna did not mention the cost of damage, but he said that the demise of the water will affect at least 60,000 hectares of agricultural land.
