Through Twitter, Armstrong Announce Retirement

LOS ANGELES, Kompas.com - Through social networking Twitter, winner of the Tour de France seven times, Lance Arsmtrong announced plans to resign.

"Yeah right, this will be the Tour De France will be my last. Berjharap I can perform well and win eighth world title," Armstrong wrote a 38-year-old.

Armstrong overcame testicular cancer and had retired from professional race was to undergo treatment but managed to win the Tour de France seven times during 1999 to 2005.

He resigned in 2005 but last year appeared again at the age of 37 years and said he was very lost by not participating in a race but feel proud as they may appear again.
