Lower portion of Telkom Dollar Debt
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Telkom said it had lowered the portion of debt denominated in foreign currency (U.S. dollar and yen) to 50 or around Rp 5 trillion in 2009.
"By the end of 2009 then, the portion of foreign currency debt has fallen from around 75 percent in three years ago," said President Director of Telkom, Rinaldi Firmansyah, in Jakarta, Tuesday.
According to Rinaldi, the success of the company lowered the debt portion of the U.S. dollar and the yen reflects the good debt management.
"We are able to manage debt, including lowering total liabilities," said Rinaldi.
Even so, Rinaldi does not mention that Telkom's total debt will mature in 2010.
On that occasion, Rinaldi explains, the company estimates that 2009 net profit of 5-7 percent compared timbuh profit in 2008.
Profit growth in line with the 2009 estimate of business income that surged about 5 percent of Rp60, 68 trillion.
