Optimistic BPS Quarter Growth Over Five Percent I

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Rusman Heriawan optimistic with the number predicted first-quarter 2010 growth above five per cent of the issued by Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Government.

Before attending the plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday, Rusman said that drivers of economic growth in the first quarter of 2010 was the export figures continued to improve.

"It must be five percent were optimistic, while the indicator is primarily intended five percent year on year. I think exports are extraordinary," he said.

According to Rusman, comparisons from year to year that started from a very low base since 2009 exports to Indonesia were disrupted global financial crisis.
