Beijing (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Hurricane and hail killed at least 25 people and wounding more than 150 other people in the city of Chongqing, southwest China, Thursday morning, local media said.
Rain and high winds hit areas and Liangping Dianjiang, down more than 1,000 houses and damaged another 10,000 homes, said one internet page of the local government.
General infrastructure and crops was also badly damaged, with losses due to hurricanes that come all of a sudden it was estimated at more than 2.93 million U.S. dollars, the report said quoting a local government information.
Maximum wind speeds reached 108 km per hour, the report said.
