Override Erakat Week Discussion Israeli-Palestinian Home

Ramallah (ANTARA News / Xinhua-Oana) - Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat, Friday, ruled that the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks will resume next week.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Friday morning, said the indirect talks between Israel and the Palestinians would begin "next week".

However Erakat said what Hillary says is forecast, and stated, "We need not consider this prediction as fact."

Erakat said the Palestinians can not decide about returning to the negotiating table before getting permission Arab.

"The decision to go or not go to the negotiations will be undertaken during follow-up committee meeting of the Arab League, which is scheduled to meet Saturday," said Erakat.

In March, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Arab countries have agreed to U.S. bids to hold indirect talks with Israel.

However, Israel's agreement to build 1600 homes in Jewish settlements on disputed territory of East Jerusalem Palestinians cast doubt on the sincerity of Israel.

All of the talks, which aim to create a Palestinian state alongside Israel, stopping in 2008.

For the Palestinians, settlement activity devouring the future of their territory to be incorporated in the Gaza Strip, West Bank Jordan River and the eastern part of Jerusalem.
