Ask Vice Governor Election Commission Held Under Rules
Jayapura (ANTARA) - Vice Governor of Papua Province asked local elections in the region was carried out according to the rules of the Commission, related to the news of a written letter from the Ministry of the Interior and the Central Electoral Commission regarding the refusal of MRP Decree No. 14 of 2010.
"The proposed MRP requires a specific local regulations, but if it rejected the Commission please run the elections in accordance with the principles of the Law Commission," said Alex Vice Governor of Papua Province Hesegem in Jayapura on Thursday.
He said the elections should be conducted in accordance with the schedule of the Commission and if there be a decision in accordance with the will of the people through the Papua People's Assembly (MRP), it can be adjusted.
"If there are voices from the community remains we must appreciate, because everyone who bekarya in Papua have to side with the sons and daughters of Papua," he said.
In response to the Vice Governor Alex Hesegem appealed to the Commission of Papua to remain conducting elections in accordance with applicable law.
"Everyone should be consistent with existing laws. If the central government had consistently, the Commission should do it," he said.
Although SK MRP has been rejected by the central government for reasons not in accordance with the law, but Vice Governor Alex Hesegem plans to keep trying to make Perdasus.
