Election of the President of Burundi grenade attacks colored
Bujumbura (ANTARA News / Xinhua-Oana) - One of the two grenades exploded on Saturday night when unidentified people threw in Muyinga Avenue, the center of the capital Bujumbura, near the inn of supervisors of the European Union (EU) for the country's presidential election.
Local officials told reporters on Monday, said the grenade attack that occurred on Saturday night at around 21:00 local time, and the blast had not caused the deaths and damages of any kind.
One other unexploded grenade was removed by police on Monday morning, according to local officials.
Thus far, no related party who was arrested with a grenade attack them.
Grenade attack took place several hours before the start of the presidential election.
President Pierre Nkurunziza who is also leader of the ruling party is the only candidate in presidential elections.
