Hendardi: Police Do not Let The case in Banyuwangi
Jakarta (AFP) - Indonesian National Police anarchism should not be defending the action taken by the Islamic Defenders Front in Banyuwangi, East Java, on the pretext of moving the location without permission.
"Under Indonesian law, no rules organizing the meeting should be done with permission. Even performance rasapun permission is not required, simply notify the police", said Chairman of the Institute Hendardi EQUIVALENTS, in a press release received here on Monday.
According to him, the statement of Head of Public Relations Inspector General of Police Police Headquarters Edward Aritonang about this case, indicates that the Police giddy to check the FPI.
He said that, throughout 2010, we recorded four anarchism action performed by the FPI.
In that event also, the police did not do anything much less check and to punish perpetrators of that crime.
The police do not need to defend the negligence by the police chief Adjunct Commissioner Banyuwangi Besar Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo who allow FPI to anarchist activities.
Hendardi continue, any negligence of the authorities to protect citizens is a violation of human rights, and let the FPI do mass judgments, clearly threatening the integrity of law enforcement officers.
"We again urged the Police to check and remove police chief Banyuwangi due to negligence and prosecution of criminal activity dissolve parliament members meeting with the citizens", he said.
The incident, he says, potentially bringing a reply from another group that would be very counterproductive to our efforts to build tolerance and social cohesion.
