Earthquake rattles Back North Sulawesi
Liputan6.com, Jakarta: An earthquake measuring five on the Richter scale rocked North Sulawesi Province, on Sunday (18 / 7) at around 6:42 pm. Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in Jakarta said the quake was at 4:04 north latitude and 126.96 east longitude with the epicenter at 143 kilometers northeast Melonguane, North Sulawesi. However, the quake was 10 kilometers berkedalaman potential tsunami.
Earthquake centered about 172 kilometers northeast of Tahuna, 348 kilometers northeast of Bitung (North Sulawesi), 365 kilometers northwest of Ternate, and 2507 kilometers northeast of Jakarta. This is the second earthquake in the last two days after the July 16 and then an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale shook the Melonguane, North Sulawesi [read: Rocking on the Richter Scale Earthquake Five Melonguane].
