Ulan Bator, KOMPAS.com - For the first time, Mongolia "chipped" or to participate in Earth Hour 2010. Mongolian news agency Montsame announce that on Wednesday (17/3/2010).
According to the plan, as the narrative WWF campaign head Colin BUtfield England, Earth Hour will take place one hour since Saturday (20/3/2010) night starting at 08.30. Later, 1,100 towns and cities in 100 countries ranging from Mongolia, Madagascar, Nepal, and New Zealand participated. Also participate in it Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Republic Ceska, Paraguay, Ecuador, following Commonwealth countries such as the Northern Marina Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Earth Hour was first launched in Sydney in 2007. At that two million people switched off lights for one hour.
