Abbas Ready to Say Bargaining With Netanyahu

Tel Aviv (AFP / RIA-Novosti Oana) - Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas says ready to cooperate with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and hope that the Arab League will agree on continuing Israeli-Palestinian peace talks this weekend.

The announcement came after the United States interpreter mediator George Mitchell, was three days in the region in order to restart Israeli-Palestinian dialogue, which stopped more than a year ago.

"On behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), I would say that we are ready to negotiate," Abbas said.

He added that next May 1 he will submit the proposal by the Arab League to launch indirect talks with Israel

"I hope the answer is positive," said Abbas.

Israel is also calling on Palestinians to resume peace talks immediately and unconditionally.

But Palestinians insisted Israel's construction of settlements for Jewish settlers who are now in progress in the Arab territory which they occupied, as the main obstacles that the peace process.

Under the road map agreed the Middle East peace the international community, Israel is obliged to freeze all settlement construction activity, and remove outposts unauthorized outermost built since 2001 in the Palestinian territories.
