Egypt Tunnel Worker Kills Four Palestinians

Liputan6.com, Gaza Strip: Four local workers were killed and five other Palestinians were injured shortly after inhaling toxic gas that spread in the tunnel, Wednesday night local time. Accident site is located on the southern border of the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

As preached Xinhua on Thursday (29 / 4), local officials reported that Adham Abu Selmeya initial investigation results showed nine Palestinian workers apparently inhaling poisonous gas spread in the tunnel. This happened when they were working there. The workers then were evacuated by ambulance to the Hospital, Abu Yousef al-Najjar in the town of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip

Meanwhile, witnesses said earlier that the Egyptian security forces blew up a tunnel under the border with the Gaza Strip to destroy tunnels. The incident was later killed one person and injuring eight others.

The tunnel is used by Palestinians to carry food supplies and other necessities into the Gaza Strip, which Israel blockaded since June 2007. Namely, when the group Hamas vowed to destroy the Zionist state was to seize and control territory.

Within the last few years, Israeli warplanes have been bombarding the dozens of people who are in the tunnel. Egypt also decided to build an underground metal barrier on the border with the Gaza Strip, which is ruled by the Islamic movement Hamas, in an effort to stop the smuggling from Egypt.
