Liputan6.com, Malang: Flash flood hit residents of more than 200 houses in the village of Sitiarjo, Malang, East Java, on Wednesday (28 / 4). Flood lasted no more than three hours, but leaving silt.
Heaps of mud into the house residents to reach one meter or the size of an adult's chest. Valuables owned by citizens of many of the damaged submerged in mud. Residents were forced to flee to higher ground.
Sitiarjo Village floods that hit last time was in seven years ago. The repeated disasters was allegedly caused by the destruction of ecosystems in the hills above the settlement residents. (TEST / SHA)
