UN Calls for Restoration of Security in Kyrgyzstan

"This is the time to immediately work to restore corporate legislation," said Ban Ki-moon said in a speech before the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna. "Freedom of expression and rule of law is essential for social progress and modernization in the former Soviet republic," added the UN leadership, which has just completed a tour of Central Asia.

"Bloody unrest in Kyrgyzstan is a profound disruption of the importance of efforts to address these issues," he said.
