Central players of Slovakia Karhan going to miss World Cup
Brastislava (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Slovakian midfielder Miroslav Karhan will be absent from the World Cup, Saturday local time, after failing to recover his health from the knee muscle injury, according to reports from local news agency SITA.
"I was making my injury and was removed from the World Cup finals, there's still two weeks to get to the Duna Cup but I have to rest three weeks," said Karhan key player in Slovakia.
"Damn, this is the life of football, I am very disappointed, hard to express it," said 33-year-old player who plays for the German club Mainz.
Meanwhile Slovakia coach Vladimir Weiss still have time until Tuesday to announce a 23 player squad for the World Cup which will take place June 11 to July 11 in South Africa later.
