Electricity Tariff Increases, Purchasing Power Down
Liputan6.com, Jakarta: Ramdanis, small business owners convection in the number of Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (21 / 6), complained to the government's plan to raise electricity tariffs or TDL. The increase was considered a burden to their business.
Ramdanis typically use 10 thousand watts of electricity per month at a cost of USD 1.8 million. However, if the industrial electricity tariffs increased by 16 percent, Ramdansi to pay about two million dollars.
Concern was growing because of the low purchasing power. Not only small businesses, middle-class entrepreneurs are also concerned with basic electricity rate increase plan. Raharas owners of garment factories in South Jakarta, felt it would be difficult to compete.
Indonesian Employers' Association, said employers now have to count again on the profit and loss which they get after TDL ride.
