Ilam, Iran (AFP / IRNA-Oana) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on Tuesday, saying the Zionist regime is preparing a massive attack against the Gaza Strip in order to restore the previous defeat.

Ahmadinejad said the Zionist regime's existence is identical with war, invasion, threat and terror.

"The Zionist regime was formed to murder, terror and aggression," said President Ahmadinejad in a speech in front of thousands of people in the northern provinces of the country.

He arrived in the province on Tuesday for his third visit to the region.

The announcement was made one day after he expressed harsh condemnation of the Israeli army attack on the Liberty Ship carrying the peace activist and humanitarian relief supplies to the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

"Countries in the region will confront the Zionist regime when the Israeli military attacks on Gaza," said Ahmadinejad, warned the Zionist leaders.

He urged the UN Security Council issued a resolution concerning fatal attacks against ships Zionist peace.

"If the UN Security Council wanted to improve the status and position, he should know that now is the time to act. UNSC must show that institutions are not only fun passed a resolution the U.S. and Israel," said President Ahmadinejad.

President Ahmadinejad on Monday strongly condemned the release of the ship tragedy that killed dozens of peace activists.
