One People Killed SR 6.4 Earthquake in Mexico

Mexico City (ANTARA News / Xinhua-Oana) - One person was killed by an earthquake with a strength of 6.4 on the Richter scale (SR) that rocked the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, Wednesday, local media reported.

The man, Armandao Lugo Hernandez, hit the block buffer when her house collapsed in the small town of San Andres Huaxpaltepec, said Director of Civil Protection Agency in the state, Carlos Ramos Aragon.

Carlos Ramos Aragon said the people have seen many homes and buildings damaged in the small town of San Francisco Ixhuatan and La Reforma. Civil protection and military staff to coordinate in order to help those who become victims in both towns, he added.

The earthquake shook Mexico at around 02:22 local time, with epicenter located 13 kilometers south of the coastal town of Pinotepa Nacional.
