Confirm Acquisition Two French citizens
PARIS, KOMPAS.com - Two aid workers in Sudan French citizen and held hostage for almost four months ago was released Sunday (14/3/2010), thus confirmation of the French Foreign Ministry.
Two French nationals held hostage by local militants freed in the Darfur region, Sudan, and they are now on their way to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, the ministry said.
French President Nicholas Sarkozy said in a statement that he was "delighted with the release of two colleagues, Olivier Denis and Olivier frappe, who was kidnapped on November 22 and in Birao in the Central African country".
Currently, there is still one more French citizens held hostage in the region. French president's office is also calling for the release of three hostages.
