The Kidnapped Children Freed England in Pakistan
Islamabad (ANTARA News / Reuters) - A British boy who was abducted in Pakistan early this month have been released, his family said Tuesday.
"He's alive," said Raja Basharat, grandfather of the kidnapped boy's.
Police in Jhelum, a city where Sahil Saeed was kidnapped, said the armed men who abducted her family had been held at gunpoint for several hours to receive 150,000 rupees (1750 dollars) and some gold, and then ask for an additional 10 million rupees ( U.S. $ 118,000) as ransom.
Circumstances surrounding her release until now not clear.
"This is fantastic news, which ended traumatic for Sahil and his family," said the British High Commission in Islamabad, in a statement.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said he thought his family was involved in the abduction.
