Menpora Cooperation with China
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Youth and Sports Andi A Mallarangeng and Ambassador of the Republic of China to Indonesia, Zhang Qiyue, discusses the development of cooperation between Indonesia and the State Bamboo Curtain in the field of youth and sports.
"This year is the 60th anniversary of establishment of cooperation between the two countries. Thus, both countries agreed to strengthen relations and cooperation have been established both in the field of youth and sports," Andi said after receiving Zhang in his office at the Office of Youth Ministry and Sports (Kemenpora) in Jakarta, Monday (22/3/2010).
For the short term, Andi will be developed describing the cooperation program between the Government of Indonesia and China by KONI. Some programs have plans to stage talks, among others in the field of coaching, the match between the two countries, and try out for the athletes.
"We need to learn much from China as a country that became an Olympic champion. This cooperation will continue in several branches to enhance performance in sports Indonesia," said Andi.
China Ambassador Zhang Qiyue also expressed the same. "We will do the same work that focuses on youth and sports to develop cooperation in these two countries. I hope the future of this cooperation can build intimacy between China and Indonesia," said Zhang.
According to Andi, in talks with Zhang, he also talks about wushu branch. Through this cooperation, wushu sports sourced from China is expected to increase achievement, especially in the Asian Games event, November 2010.
