Operating Income Increases Child Independent Business

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The business of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk recorded operating income increased to Rp 493 billion in 2009 compared to 2008 is only Rp 260 billion.

The statement was made by the Coordinator Independent EVP N Mansyuri Pahala, on the sidelines of a press conference, at the Plaza Mandiri, Jakarta, Monday (22/03/2010). "In the year 2009 yesterday, the performance of its subsidiaries experienced significant improvement. Operating income almost reached USD 493 billion compared with the previous year which amounted to Rp 260 billion," said Pahala.

He explained, the children of business consists of Bank Mandiri Syariah Mandiri (BSM) which currently total assets reached Rp 22 trillion.

Then AXA Mandiri (Insurance) to contribute to fee-based income of Rp 146 billion. For Tunas Mandiri Finance, more reward, good performance which is now giving pembiyaan to Rp 2.3 trillion. As for Independent Investment Management (MMI) in the year 2009 performance also improved significantly. Total mutual funds under management increased 120 percent. Assets increased from USD 7 trillion in 2008 to Rp 14 trillion in 2009.

"Mandiri will continue to develop its business so that children can continue to contribute," he asserted.
