Perhaps Russia Supports Iran Nuclear Sanctions
Moscow (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Russia could support additional sanctions on Iran, but that should be focused only to prevent the development of nuclear materials, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko, Thursday, stressed that Russia wants to continue talks to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.
"If no progress appeared in this direction, we will not negate the possibility to conduct additional pressure on Iran with the help of sanctions," said Nesterenko told reporters at the weekly briefing in Moscow.
"But ... these penalties should be directed solely to the resolution of the anti-dissemination tasks and are not intended to cut the financial and economic relax your country," he said.
