Van Persie in Action Coming Back For Arsenal
London (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Business Arsenal for a degree seems to be getting stronger by the Dutch striker Robin van Persie, because manager Arsene Wenger is expected he will return from ankle ligament injury in two to three weeks.
Van Persie, who was in scintillating appearance before injury time to strengthen the national team against Italy in November, returned to practice. That is good news for the club and hopes to fit back towards the World Cup in South Africa next June.
"He is expected back but do not expect a miracle when someone was absent for that," Wenger said on Thursday.
"But we're happy to have her back and he was physically in good condition .... We must bring back a full recovery - which requires a maximum of two to three weeks."
"I said two weeks but after that when you start playing you're not in the best condition. You have to play a few games to get back into the best condition," added the French trainer.
Arsenal, two points behind league leaders Manchester United Premier League, hoping Nicklas Bendtner will be back fit for the match away to Birmingham City on Saturday.
"I hope he can play," Wenger said of the Danish striker, who injured his ankle against West Ham last week.
