Already 11 Years Hero Not For Dividend

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - This year, PT Hero Supermarket Tbk (HERO) again did not distribute dividends. This means that already eleven years old, HERO does not distribute profits to shareholders.

HERO own performance is good enough. HERO sales grew 13.48% from Rp 5.86 trillion the previous year to Rp 6.65 trillion in 2009. Meanwhile, net profit soared 77.66% from Rp 96.70 billion to Rp 171.80 billion.

President Director of HERO John Callaghan reasoned decision is not purely the result of dividends Shareholders' General Meeting (AGM). According to him, the shareholders invest in the HERO believe will further enhance the value of their profits in the future.

HERO will use to expand its net profit this year. Unfortunately, he did not want to mention how many outlets are to be constructed and the total value of its investment. One is the construction of new outlets Giant Hypermart in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), Tangerang. Currently, HERO Giant Hypermarkets operates 35 outlets, 50 outlets Hero Supermarket, Giant Supermarket outlets 63, 195 health and beauty stores and 124 outlets Guardian Starmart Minimarket.

Currently the majority shareholding held by Dairyfarm HERO 94.28%, 2.68% True Hero Heritage and shares outstanding in the community 3.04%.
