Two Killed In Shooting at U.S. Hospital
Washington (ANTARA News / Xinhua-Oana) - A shooting perpetrator killed one person and injuring two more people on Monday, in one hospital the state of Tennessee, U.S., and seems to have been killed by his own injuries, according to local reports.
The shooting took place at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. By quoting police spokesman Darrel DeBusk information, the local television station WBIR-TV reported that police received an emergency notification shootings have occurred in the hospital at 16:00 until 16:30 local time.
Police responded and found three victims with gunshot wounds. One person later died from his wounds.
Police also found one person who seems to suffer from wounds caused by his own actions. DeBusk said the man apparently was the perpetrator of the shooting. According to reports, the perpetrators of the shooting was later killed.
DeBusk could not confirm the identity of perpetrators of the shooting or the victim. According to initial reports, which quoted the fire department spokesman Brent Seymour, the number of people who had been shot five.
Police have closed the hospital, and they're doing penyusuran floor by floor of the hospital as a precaution. DeBusk says no one is allowed to enter or leave the hospital today.
TV footage showed one helicopter was circling the air, to search for possible hidden dangers in the surrounding area. Medical personnel outside the hospital premises, are caring for and comforting patients.
