YLKI: Repair Services Before TDL Rise
Manado, (ANTARA) - Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) asked former State Electricity Company to improve the electricity supply service to the community, before the electricity basic tariff (TDL) is raised.
"Until now, consumers are harmed due to electrical service less than optimal, so not yet time to discuss the TDL is upgraded," said Chairman YLKI Aldy Lumingkewas North Sulawesi, Manado, Tuesday.
Lack of electricity supply to the community that causes burnout innings until the crucial issues in the energy sector led to the society as consumers do not feel worthy of TDL is upgraded.
According to him, TDL increase plan is still to be discussed at the House of Representatives and is scheduled enacted in October 2010.
"People put expectations on the shoulders of the House of Representatives to reject the policy of the TDL is upgraded, because the information was alarming enough citizens and not in accordance with existing services," he said.
PLN and the government should not be used to link the increase in TDL with efforts to reduce budget subsidies, because it's electric service to the community do not take optimal.
Assembly Members Sulut Lexi Solang regretted that casual attitude PLN plans to increase service while not optimal TDL.
"Better handling more power is directed to a private party and not tersentra on one company, so that more community service oriented," he said.
