Bank Mega Replace CEO

Jakarta (ANTARA) - General Meeting of shareholders (AGM) of PT Bank Mega Tbk., Which took place in Jakarta on Wednesday, decided to set Johanes Bambang Kendarto as the new President Director replacing Yungki Setiawan.

While Yungki will go to the board of commissioners with Chairul Tanjung as the owner of the company.

Previously, Kendarto served as Director of Bank Mega and Yungki Setiawan now serves as Deputy Commissioner accompanied Chairul Tanjung as Commissioner.

Throughout 2009, the Bank recorded a net profit of Rp 537.5 billion, up 7.1 percent compared to 2008 amounting to Rp 501.7 billion.

Net profit growth was supported by the growth of Third Party Funds (TPF), improvement in credit quality, and increased liquidity, and good secondary reserve.

Meanwhile, the Mega banks able to collect third-party funds (TPF) of Rp 32.8 trillion or an increase of 11.6 percent over the previous year amounting to Rp 29.4 trillion.

Creditors are down 1.9 percent to Rp 18.6 trillion.

"The decline was due to the company lending more prudent in disbursing loans in order to maintain quality and minimize credit risks," said Yungki.
