Boxing Champion Killed Wife Admit Venezuela
Caracas (AFP / Reuters) - Venezuelan boxing champion Edwin Valero admitted killing his wife and he was arrested Sunday, police and legal officials said Monday.
Officers in the Attorney General said in a statement, Valero (28) kill Jennifer Carolina Viera de Valero (24) in the middle of the night at the Hotel InterContinental in Valencia.
The poor woman was killed by a stab a sharp weapon.
Statement that describes, Valero will be sentenced because his actions were.
"Valero down to the hotel reception and confessed to the employee that he had committed murder," he stated.
Valero, with the nickname "The Inca", holds the WBC lightweight title but have a problem in early 2010 and is registered in the WBC event as "the champion who stepped down".
Valero was arrested in March for committing violence against his wife and he has also experienced problems due to start minimal alcohol.
Valero is a supporter of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and they never appeared on television in a live broadcast when he was practicing.
Mexican boxer Humberto Soto took over Venezuela's boxer place, as the WBC lightweight champion.
