BI: Seven Bank Its capital of Rp100 Billion Less
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bank Indonesia deputy governor Budi Rochadi says there are still seven banks that still have capital below 100 billion.
"There are seven banks whose capital is less than Rp100 billion," said Budi Rochadi when answering questions from journalists in Jakarta, Tuesday.
According to him, the seven banks are sure to meet minimum capital until the end of this year. "They sure can meet the capital of Rp100 billion," he asserted.
BI deputy governor also said that the seven banks is missing a capital increase through a strategic investor (selling shares).
"There are additional capital from shareholders, there is added from the internal, from operating income, but no one was through a strategic investor," he said.
Budi Rochadi also asserted that the rule of a minimum capital of Rp100 billion this year there is no tolerance anymore.
"If less than Rp100 billion in capital that is closed," he said.
Indonesian Banking Architecture (API), BI has set a minimum capital of 100 billion worth by the end of this year
