Somali pirates Yemen Pirate Fishing Ship

Sanaa (AFP / Reuters) - Somali pirates-pirates have hijacked a fishing vessel off the coast of Yemen Arab semenjanjung country, carrying seven crew members along with their Yemeni fishermen, according to Internet pages Yemeni Defense Ministry said Friday.

Yemeni coast guard said the pirates, the pirates captured the ship, named Al Dhafir, when the ship was docking in a Yemeni island in the Red Sea and brought to Somalia.

The Coast Guard was continuing its efforts to save the vessel, said DoD's Internet pages.

Heavily-armed pirates pirates have increased their attacks against ships in recent months. And they have collected tens of millions of dollars in ransom money to hijack ships in the Indian Ocean.
