Basarnas Borong 4 Heli USD 469 Billion
PADANG, KOMPAS.com - National Search and Rescue Agency Basarnas intend to auction off the project or procurement of four new helicopters this year.
According to Principal Secretary Ministry of Non-Government Institutions (LPNK) Basarnas, Max Ruland, in Padang, Wednesday (09/06/2010), the budget for the auction reached 50 million U.S. dollars, or around Rp 469 billion.
He was sure, a number of helicopter manufacturers will follow the tender. The plan, four new helicopters to replace the BO-105 helicopter Bölkow PT Dirgantara Indonesia made under license from Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB), Stuttgart, Germany.
During this time, Basarnas using an old helicopter has been used for years.
