BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com - The government is preparing to fly to public health teams in areas inaccessible by land and water transportation.

"We already have a mobile health center with four-wheeled vehicle on land and waters around the health center. But it still need to be added to the service through air because there are many islands that have not been able to reach," said Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih when opening a meeting of the National Immunisation in Bandung, Tuesday (08/06/2010).

According to him, the Ministry of Health is being proposed budget for the implementation of health care through the air with a value of approximately USD 20 billion.

"We are being proposed it. Do not know will be granted or not," he said.

According to him, the government also are designing the technical implementation in the field and prepare the team for this pelaksan health.

"For that, need special preparation and training for health workers," he said.

He explained that the flying medical teams will consist of doctors, nurses, midwives, and nutrition workers with the composition according to the needs of health workers in each target area.

The team will be assigned to provide health services to communities in the islands are so far not been able to reach with health services around the land and water transportation modes.
