Iran-Oman Border Guard Sign Cooperation Agreement
Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan province (AFP / IRNA-Oana) - Commander of border guard Hormuzgan announced signing an agreement of cooperation between border guards of Iran and Oman.
On the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the 5th joint meeting of the commanders of the border guards of Iran and Oman Tuesday, Colonel Rastin Brother Elias told reporters that in the common sea border between Iran and Oman along the 470 kilometers, it was agreed to expand cooperation in protecting the common boundary line .
He also said that in recent years seen a number of meetings between the two countries, in the field.
Iranian official added that one of the most important agreements in the last meeting was in the field of fisheries.
In connection with that agreement, if the fishermen from both parties to enter because of mistakes or stray into the territorial waters of each, they will be extradited to their country to undergo examination.
Both parties missions intensify anti-drug in their sea border, the border information exchange and to prevent organized crime in the region, among others, an agreement reached in the meeting.
