Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government will be closely monitoring compliance with obligations (mandatory) the use of oil fuel (BBM) in July 2010.

Business Development Director Downstream Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saryono Hadiwijoyo, in Jakarta, Wednesday, said, during this, the fulfillment of the mandatory biofuel that has been applied since 2008 is still not running well.

"We will supervise the use of biodiesel and bioethanol in July 2010 began in 2011. Bioethanol is more difficult than biodiesel," he said.

According to him, one of the factors which make use of biofuel is not walking is the lack of supply of raw materials and infrastructure.

He cited, the limited supply of ethanol in Jakarta, which requires 3000 kiloliters per month.

Saryono added, increasing subsidies from Rp1.000 become Rp2.000 per liter, will increase the supply of biofuel.

"Next year, the amount of subsidy will be increased to Rp2.500 per liter," he said.

Oil and Gas Director General of Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Evita Legowo, said it would raise the percentage of biodiesel blend from 3 to 5 percent.

He said that biofuel production capacity reaches 3.6 million kiloliters which is sufficient.
