President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono

VIVAnews-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has formed a study team. His name is the National Innovation Committee. Sitting in this committee are a number of businessmen, professors and doctors from various disciplines.

The task of this committee, the president said, is to provide recommendations and results of studies for the benefit of the community development of knowledgeable, creative and innovative.

The Committee is also expected to conduct studies on how to build environmentally-friendly lifestyle and entrepreneurial spirit.

"How gaduhnya society in the future if there is no improvement in the understanding of lingkungani," said Yudhoyono at the State Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 15, 2010.

In the medium term, the committee is expected to conduct studies in the field of energy, food and water. Innovation in education, health, medical, marine, defense, technology, weaponry, transportation, communication technology, information, and industry.

KIN was established by Presidential Decree number 32 year 2010. This Committee shall serve until the end of the Second United Indonesia Cabinet of October 2014.

Those who sit on the committee, including Chairman of LIPI Prof. Zuhal, Sangkot Prof. Marzuki, Prof. Sahari L, Ninok Leksono, Prof. Umar Jenie, Dr. Marzan Ir Iskandar, Dr. Suhardi Brethren, Dr Lukman Hakim, Prof. Bustanul Arifin, Ir Amir S, Rahmat Gobel, and Dr. Ilham Habibie Ing.
