Safina Did Not Participate Wimbledon Due Back Injury

London (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Former world number one tennis player Dinara Safina of Russia withdrew from the Wimbledon tennis tournament because of back injury, according to the organizing committee announced on Saturday.

Safina, seeded 20th at the grand slam tournament which started Sunday, feeling pain in his back. Poisinya in the lottery that replaced the American tennis player from Melanie Oudin, who became the 33rd seed.

Stephanie Dubois of Canada, who lost in the preliminary round, finally got the place of the 128 players who participated in the tournament.
