Tropical Storm Celia Formed in the Pacific

Mexico City (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Hurricane Celia's torrid, Saturday, formed off the coast of southern Mexico, the Pacific, and will become hurricanes when moving away from the coast, the National Hurricane Center said the United States.

Celia, a third storm in the Pacific hurricane season, currently located at 540 kilometers in the southern resort island of Acapulco, according to the hurricane center, based in Miami.

"Celia became a hurricane on Sunday," the center said, warning that the storm was expected to cause dangerous waves along the coast of Mexico.

With wind speed 75 miles per hour, Celia was to the west and is expected to remain off the coast of Mexico, the center said.

Tropical Storm Blas, who on Thursday became the second hurricane in the Pacific cyclone season, was 690 kilometers south of Baja California, and is expected to continue moving west, away from the beach.
