200 People Killed in Oil Tank Explosion Due Congo
Kinshasa (ANTARA News / Xinhua-Oana) - At least 200 people were killed on Friday night not the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo due to explosion of a tank of oil, local media reported Saturday.
France 24 television network reported that a tanker truck carrying fuel overturned and exploded causing at least 200 people were killed, including five United Nations peacekeeping personnel.
A number of people are trying to snatch the oil spill. Local Red Cross also recorded more than 200 people were killed by the tank explosion.
UN personnel on Saturday said five peacekeepers were also killed in the blast tank, said the report.
Of Tanzania's oil tank overturned in Sanga village, located about 70 kilometers south of the city of Bukavu, Sud-Kivu district.
