Again, 17 Shiite Pilgrims Killed in Iraq

Liputan6.com, Baghdad: Bomb attacks returning casualties Shia pilgrims in Baghdad, Iraq. The attack happened on Thursday (8 sevenths), a total of 17 people were killed and 107 others were injured. Thus a recent report spokesperson Iraqi Interior Ministry told CNN.

Four bombs exploded on the roadside. Meanwhile, sebuh installed in a car bomb parked near a restaurant on Palestine Street, eastern Baghdad. The bomb exploded just as the group of Shia pilgrims heading home after a gathering in Kadhimiya, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kadhim.

Shia pilgrims had already long been the target of attacks by Sunni militants. Iraqi military says one of the suicide bomb attacks that occurred in Kadhimiya, conducted by a man disguised as a woman.

Musa al-Kadhim, including the priest who is considered the most sacred for Shia Muslims throughout the world. Priest died more than 1200 years ago. He is one of the 12th imam revered historic Shiites.
