Clashed, Iranian forces kill six people
Tehran, KOMPAS.com - Six people are "criminals" were killed in clashes with Iranian security forces in Sistan-Baluchestan province southeast, Friday (16/07/2010).
Bloody clashes came a day after two suicide bomb attacks took place in three different places in the province, said Deputy Chief Constable of Iran, Ahmad Reza Radan, on Saturday (17/07/2010).
Radan told the ISNA news, said the clashes occurred when the officers blocked the road that can be used by criminals, anti-government groups, and smugglers in the province.
On Thursday, two suicide bombers attacked a Shiite mosque in the city Zehedan, capital of Sistan-Baluchestan Province. At least 27 people were killed and hundreds others injured in the attack.
Jundullah group (Soldiers of God) claimed responsibility for suicide bomb attacks in retaliation for the execution Jundullah leader, Abdolmalek Rigi, June 20 and in Tehran.
This group defending the rights of the Sunni community Balukis, in Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan.
