Gara-Gara Flood, Jabar TPT Industry USD 20 Billion Loss
The floods that hit Jakarta and its surrounding areas has made the loss of textile industry and textile products (TPT) to Rp 20 billion. A total of 17 companies in Dayeuh Kolot and floods submerged Cisirung.
Head of Administration of Industry and Trade Office in West Java, Agus Suparman said flooding problems that often befall Bandung area either directly or indirectly have an impact on textile industry.
"Based on the data while less than Rp 20 billion," he said in the industry workshop in Bandung, Saturday night (27/3/2010).

Meanwhile, Benny Soetrisno of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) states, 17 floods have caused the company's 20,000 employees that textile companies could not work or temporarily unemployed.
In addition, there are also company-Perusaan TPT is not subject to flooding, but floods blocked the access road so that their employees can not work.
"As many as 20,000 people who could not work and there is a factory that cut off road access, so a total of 50,000 people," said Benny.
