Indonesia GDP 5.6 Percent in 2010 Predicted
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) predicts, Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product will grow 5.6 percent in 2010 as the economic recovery of other Asian countries.
Director of the Economist Corporate Network, Ross O `Brien, in Jakarta on Wednesday, said that although Indonesia would now stepping into the economic recovery after the global crisis.
"But there are many aspects of Indonesia's development needs reform and restructuring really if Indonesia is to achieve its goals beyond economic growth per year is 7 percent or more of which predicted various parties," he explained.
O `Brien added that reform needs to be done by Indonesia, including the improvement of institutions and legal environment to promote and increase investment in public infrastructure sector.
Based on the EIU forecast Indonesia's GDP will grow 5.6 percent in 2010 and 5.9 percent in 2011 as the state-memulihnya other Asian countries.
According to the EIU, despite Indonesia's view that the alienation of the global economy (based on Asian export standards) has menildungi Indonesia from the global economic crisis on Indonesia bamun openness of the world market will help create new opportunities.
