Taliban Admit puppeteer bomb the U.S. Consulate

Liputan6.com, Peshawar: Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for deadly attacks in the United States consulate in the northwestern city of Peshawar, Monday (5 / 4). They also threatened to launch more guerrilla warfare.

Today the death toll increased to seven people in a series of bomb blasts targeting the U.S. Consulate. Police said a group of suicide bombers had attacked the U.S. consulate, killing two Pakistani security guard, a policeman, a civilian police, and three foreign nationals.

Four dead bombers were also found with a jacket containing two suicide bombings. In addition, at least four personnel from the U.S. security firm guarding the consulate was injured.

The bombers came in two cars near the gate of the consulate. Then they fired two mortars into the consulate building and shot with automatic rifles, until finally blew up their vehicle. Witnesses said the attack was damaging the very heavily guarded U.S. Consulate in Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) [read: Six Killed in Attack on U.S. Consulate].
