Vice Governor of Papua Opens Inland Church in Papua

Jayapura (ANTARA) - Vice Governor (Deputy Governor) Papua Aleks Hesegem, Friday, inaugurated the church in the interior of Papua, which is in the ward Holaksili, Abenaho District, District Yalimo.

The Church is the Church, established the Protestant Church of Indonesia (GJPI) Sihem church Helaksili taken approximately 15 minutes by using a small body aircraft such as Cessna or a caravan of Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya.

Vice Governor of Papua Aleks Hesegem invite Christians in his speech in order not to split the area although there are different because the Christian Protestant Church, Catholic or Pentecostal.

"When the sense of security to occur, is expected to accelerate development in this area, considering this area is home to the newly separated," Vice Governor Hesegem hope.

Construction of church building which is located about 70 km from Elelim, the capital was carried out independently Kab.Yalimo.

Inauguration of the church building was attended by about 500 residents took place which ended with the wisdom of eating together with the tradition of "burning stone" typical of the interior of Papua.
