Violence Against Protesters Fight Police in British Mosques

West Midlands, KOMPAS.com - British riot police clashed with thousands of demonstrators finally a member of the British Defence League (EDL), which opposed the plan to build a new mosque in downtown Dudley, West Midlands, on Saturday (3/4/2010).

Brutal clashes triggered around 2000 members of EDL that damage wrought-iron fence and pelted police equipped with shields and sticks. In fact, they attacked the coordinator of action to calm these brutal acts.

They carried posters that read, among other things, "Labour refused to mosques in the UK" and "Nobody wants this mosque." Right-wing demonstrators from also installing placards that read, "The Muslim bombers get out of here" and "Say no to mosque."

British national anthem, God Save The Queen, played through loudspeakers, followed by raising the British flag. Dudley City Council on its website stating, "We do not mengundal EDL into our city and we do not want them here." But the Board also recognizes no authority to ban their activities.
