JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Coordinating Minister for Economic Hatta Radjasa said the scenario for 70 percent of gas exports and 30 percent for domestic needs is the most appropriate scenario to be implemented in Donggi-Senoro gas block in Central Sulawesi. According to Hatta, the scenario was deemed appropriate based on national balance of gas production.

Ministry of Economic Affairs in the office, on Friday (21/05/2010), Hatta said the problem of Indonesia is not in the absence of gas, but rather on the lack of good infrastructure that occurred in the Mahakam gas block in Kalimantan and Papua.

Hatta said that even going to happen over supply of gas in the Mahakam block in 2010 because the gas can not be taken without reserving the terminal. "Therefore, the scenario of 70 percent is exported, 30 percent for the country is the most appropriate," he said.

Capacity of 30 percent can be accommodated by the local government to develop a fertilizer plant or build power plants based on the ability of Indonesian gas balance. "This is because we acknowledge missmatch late rise so high domestic keteteran infrastructure," he added.

Hatta answers to clues in the midst of questions about the government's decision regarding the use of real-Senoro Donggi gas production, are also exported, or only to satisfy domestic needs.

Pertamina's public relations Trikora son Basuki said the government has not set his decision. Meanwhile, the consortium of PT Donggi-Senoro LNG has agreed on a gas sales agreement with Chubu Electric Power Co.
