Hammers hit by 5.1 Richter quake
Hammer (AFP) - The city of Palu, Central Sulawesi, Sunday afternoon, again with the strength of tectonic earthquake rocked by 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Site Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) said the quake occurred at 11:57 pm was centered at 1.24 south latitude and 120.10 east longitude.
An earthquake is located at 47 kilometers southeast of Palu with a depth of 13 kilometers.
The earthquake's tsunami potential is not exactly located in District Kulawi, Sigi District.
Meanwhile, some residents of Palu admitted only feel the vibrations of earthquake for a few seconds.
"Earthquake as always happens in Palu because here is an earthquake area," said Usman residents of East Palu.
To date there are no reported casualties or damage to buildings caused by earthquake.
Previously, a similar earthquake occurred in the southeast of Palu on Thursday (13 / 5). When it was recorded at magnitude 5.1 Richter who also happened in District Kulawi.
